Dan Outzs, former 2nd Vice-President of ABS and author of the "All About…" series of books and the book "Best of ABS", is also a member of SBS. The club proudly boasts of members from novice to champion, pet owners to breeders. The Sandhills Budgerigar Society has attended bird fairs in the southeast United States to raise funds and add members to the club and to ABS.
